Tonina Ashby

About My Work

I'm Tonina Ashby, I specialise in supporting vulnerable and incapacitated clients, their families and carers by providing legal support when they need it most. I help them navigate complex and sensitive issues such as safeguarding, care funding and financial abuse.

My caseload ranges from wills, probate and LPAs to contentious court of protection applications. I act as a professional Attorney and Deputy and have worked with a range of clients of all ages and backgrounds, including individuals with dementia, brain injuries and learning difficulties.

I raise awareness of legal issues around mental capacity and provide pro-bono talks and legal advice clinics to charities and organisations, including the Local Authority and the Police. I am also a Dementia Friends Ambassador for the Alzheimer’s Society and a Trustee of Age UK Northamptonshire.

In my role as a Notary Public, I support individuals and businesses to verify and authenticate documentation to use in international transactions.
