About My Work

I am based in Simpson Thacher’s London office, I co-lead the Firm’s European financial services and funds regulatory team. I adviss private funds, asset managers and financial institutions on European financial market regulations and transactions. Noted by clients as “very highly regarded in the funds regulatory space,” I have advised some of the world’s most prominent sponsors on the European regulatory aspects of major fundraises, including structuring and marketing issues, and have advised on the acquisitions of businesses subject to financial regulation, including change in control and regulatory capital matters.

Widely recognized for my prowess in providing tailored, innovative guidance, I am praised by clients in The Legal 500 as “brilliant at coming up with creative solutions, explaining complex rules clearly and identifying what we actually need to do in practice to comply.” I am also recognized by Chambers UK and I am identified by Who’s Who Legal as a “Global Elite Thought Leader” for private funds regulation.

Notable Experience

  • Bridgepoint on the addition of ECP to its platform, to create a €57 billion global private markets asset manager
  • Cinven on the establishment of the Eighth Cinven Fund, which closed at €13.2 billion in January 2024
  • Blackstone on the distribution of its leading European semi-liquid private wealth vehicles, Blackstone European Property Fund, Blackstone European Private Credit Fund and Blackstone Private Equity Strategies Fund
