About My Work

Richard has almost 20 years’ experience working as a lawyer in the banking market. He operates principally out of our Liverpool office, but also spends time in Manchester and London, specialising in all forms of banking transactions including: acquisition finance, property finance, project finance and general corporate lending.

Richard has acted for a wide variety of clients including financial institutions, quoted public companies and private companies and has excellent experience in a wide variety of sectors.

Whilst also having a long list of bank panel appointments and much recent experience of acting for banks on transactions across a whole range of different sectors, our banking and finance team have extensive experience of acting for borrower clients on the full range banking transactions and in dealing with their day to day banking requirements.

Notable Experience

• Advising a major financial institution in connection with a revolving credit facility to a major property group for the acquisition of a property portfolio (value £40m), including preparing and negotiating all funding, hedging, security and inter-creditor documentation
• Amendment and reinstatement of loan facilities of £50m for a care provider acting on behalf of The Co-operative Bank plc.
