Prior to joining Ansons, Paul Bennett was Senior Partner at a reputable West Midlands firm for more than a decade.

Paul has undertaken in excess of 250 transactions over his career, principally for owner managed or family businesses or businesses with foreign ownership or investment.

Paul advises on a full range of corporate finance transactions including:

Company acquisitions and sales

Banking and financial arrangements

LLP, partnership and shareholder agreements

Notable Experience

  • Sales of independent insurance brokers to national consolidators;
  • The sale of a pharmacy chain with 57 outlets to a private equity backed competitor;
  • The purchase of a majority stake is an ophthalmic surgery business, having sold a majority stake in the same business some years previously;
  • The sale of various facilities management companies to private equity backed and listed companies;
  • The sale of a telecommunications company to an LDC backed competitor to create the largest mobile, fixed line and cloud specialist in the UK.

  • Paul is a former President of the Black Country Chamber of Commerce, and a fellow of the RSA.
