About My Work

Matt was admitted as a Solicitor in 2001 and established himself in Hereford by successfully defending his first ten trials. He later qualified as a Duty Solicitor and was the head of the criminal department at his former firm before joining CRL as a partner in 2006.

He continues to devote himself to Legal Aid and private client criminal defence work and maintains a position on the Duty Solicitor scheme. Matt is experienced in all types of criminal defence work and continues to maintain an excellent success rate in his trials.

In addition to his criminal work Matt also represents clients before the Family Court. He is a dedicated Family Solicitor specialising in representing parents of children who face care proceedings.

This type of work requires the utmost compassion and tact, qualities which Matt prides himself with.

Matt is extremely popular with his clients and has built up a formidable client base both in Criminal and Family work.

Matt is Head of the Magistrates Court Department & Head of Family Law.
