About My Work

Katie is a partner in the Banking and Finance team. She joined Burges Salmon as a trainee in 2006, qualifying in 2008. Katie acts for a range of clients including banks, funds and corporates on finance transactions within the built environment and hotels sectors and corporate banking.

Notable Experience

• Advising MetLife on the debt funding provided for the refinance of two office properties in prime locations in Jersey’s financial district with a total value of over £131 million.
• Advising HSBC in relation to investment and development facilities to luxury hotel group, Harbour Hotels.
• Advising Tristan Capital as borrower on a facility agreement to finance the acquisition of the Yotel In Manchester.
• Advising a Sovereign Wealth Fund on the refinance of its UK Hotel Portfolio
• Advising Lloyds Banking Group in relation to a £50 million facility to fund the acquisition of a serviced office business.
• Advising Coutts in on the refinance of a group of Courtyard by Marriott hotels across England and Scotland.
• Advising HSBC in relation to a £18.4 million facility to refinance leading UK hostel provider, Safestay.
• Advising Helaba as lender on the financing of a trophy office in Glasgow and a newly completed development in Manchester.
