About My Work

I am an experienced solicitor having been in private practice for over 15 years. I have been a director at Hunter & Robertson solicitors since 2016. I head up our Family Law Department have a particular interest in child law and specifically public law issues arising therefrom. I represent clients in Sheriff Court and Childrens Hearings and have been instructed in a number of prominent reported cases. I am a member of the Law Society of Scotlands Child and Family Law Sub Committee which consults with and makes recommendations to the Scottish Government on proposed legislation.

I hold a number of regulatory roles within my firm including Client Relation Manager, Data Protection officer and am responsible for compliance with Law Society and Scottish Legal Aid Board Regulations. I am a member of the Law Society of Scotlands Practising Certificate Sub Committee which makes decisions regarding complex applications for practising certificates and determines applications for waiver of certain practice rule requirements,

I have been trained in developing a trauma informed practice and have undertaken Scottish Mental Health First Aid Training (SMHFA)
