Anthony Turner advises on the full range of corporate transactions, from M&A, complex structuring and equity investments to fundraisings and governance advice. Anthony has a great deal of experience advising clients on transactions in all aspects of the financial services sector.

Anthony’s clients look to him for strategic advice on a wide variety of corporate and personal matters. His clients are both UK based and international. He advises a number of clients on international transactions including inbound investments into the UK. Anthony is a regular speaker at conferences, both in the UK and overseas.

Anthony acts for many family businesses and family offices. He regularly advises families on structuring and governance issues, succession and the transition of ownership and control to the next generation and putting in place arrangements that resolve and avoid family disputes. Anthony understands the dynamics of family businesses, and applies his extensive corporate and commercial expertise to give the best legal and practical advice to his family business clients, to ensure the continued success of the business and the family.

Anthony has throughout his career acted for individual entrepreneurs and their companies across a range of sectors. Anthony advises on the full lifecycle of an entrepreneur, including investment and shareholders’ agreements, fundraisings at all stages, incentive structures and exits. Anthony’s M&A practice is a core element of this advice and he has advised a large number of clients on the successful disposal of their businesses. Anthony also acts for wealthy individuals on their corporate matters, including investments in high-growth companies.

Anthony works with a range of fast growth fintech entrepreneurs and their companies. His advice spans start-ups, employee ownership structures, fundraisings, joint ventures and exits, as well as fintech investments by established financial institutions.

Memberships & Qualifications

Anthony is an editor of the Butterworths Corporate Law Service and a member of the Company Law Committee of the Law Society.
Anthony is an active participant in the International Bar Association and was a member of the International Association of Young Lawyers for a number of years.
