About My Work

Alex Cosgrove is a Partner in our Corporate & Commercial team.He has more than 15 years’ experience advising on commercial transactions.

Before joining Brachers in 2019, Alex worked as a commercial lawyer in London, Tokyo and Hong Kong, including a number of years at one of the world’s largest law firms.

Notable Experience

Supporting Ash Jilani and the team advising East Sussex-based Plumpton College as part of their 2022 ongoing campus redevelopment project.
Advising The Mum Club, one of the UK’s leading online publications and events companies for women with children, on its successful franchising in 2021.
Supporting James Bullock and the team advising Kent-based Gallagher Group on its acquisition of ready-mix concrete plants from Cemex UK in 2021.
Advising Evolution Power Limited on their partnership with sustainable investment group Korkia, to fund the development of its initial pipeline of over 1 GW of clean power project.
Advising the East Malling Trust on their involvement in an innovative new development, led by NIAB, to create high-tech plant growing facilities.
Advising Powerfuel Development and Finance Limited during 2020-21 on all aspects of a new long-term commercial joint venture. Powerfuel is involved in a number of innovative green energy projects including the already ongoing development of a £100 million Energy Recovery Facility.
